Thanks to my friend Brianna for taking these awkwardly angled yet wonderful photos and uploading them to Facebook so that I may then use the urls and easily place them here. The first painting is something I like to call Banana Bones (6x3) and was for an independent painting project. My materials included glue, acrylic, gel medium, dried lemons, dried banana peel, transparency paper, salt, spray paint, magazine letters, and my hair. This piece is what I would consider some abstract expressionism. It has a long story behind it, maybe I'll explain later with an edit.

The second has an even longer story which includes a slam poetry performance piece. This is called Untold Story and circles around the concepts involving my childhood, my home, and my growth within these realms. It also includes my hair.
